Container theft sometimes takes place from licensed premises, pub company depots, or wholesalers.
We know that thieves target "soft" premises where containers are not kept under secure conditions.

To help us combat the problem, you should:

• Keep containers secure where possible

• Keep control of the keys, where kegs are kept locked away

• Try not to put containers out for collection until the draymen have arrived

• Always check the credentials of people coming to collect empty containers

• Check the number of containers that draymen take away with them

• Ensure staff are aware of the risks to containers and act accordingly
